Yvette Noel-Schure, Part 1, Superstar Publicist, Growing up in Grenada, attending City College and living the American Dream

Yvette Noel-Schure has been shaping popular culture and the music industry's biggest superstars since before Jake was born. She spent eight years as the editor of Black Beat Magazine, then moved to a green-behind-the-ears publicist at Sony.

Since 1993, she has gone on to masterfully shape the careers of Mariah Carey, Adele, Prince, John Legend, Wyclef Jean, Destiny's Child, Jessica Simpson, Will Smith. She currently represents Beyonce and has for almost twenty years.

In this candid and revealing two part interview, Yvette discusses growing up in Grenada and arriving in America, the day she became a "woman," having to settle for City College of New York instead of New York University and the seeds that were planted as a young girl that has enabled her to become arguably one of the kindest and most successful publicists in the entertainment business.

Part one focuses on Yvette's life and growing up and part two focuses on her career and the careers she's touched. Perfect for anyone who's been on the road less traveled with far too many detours to count. (E 102)
