At more than 200 episodes and 5+MM downloads, Jake Sasseville’s long-running talk show is a catalyst to the heart and mind. It features inspirational interviews with masters, heart-searching conversations with presidents of fortune 500 companies and NBA teams and highlights the common thread of what makes us all profoundly human. Widely considered as one of the most influential interviewers of his generation (and the youngest TV host in late night TV history on ABC), Jake’s style is inquisitive, humorous and heartfelt. He’s open about weight issues, watching his brother die when he was 17, failing in dozens of business ventures during his 20s, his recovery in 12 step programs — and his most recent move to Maui, the launch of his Institute and his global real estate endeavors.

Garrett Madison was leading 14 people up Mount Everest when an earthquake shook Nepal in April. That earthquake also caused avalanches that decimated base camp and Garrett's only forseeable way out. He was at roughly 21,000 feet (almost a 4,000 feet above base camp) when the quake hit.

For the first time since being rescued off of Everest, Garrett Madison tells his story on The Jake Sasseville Show, including how he led 14 people through nearly three days of being stranded on the tallest mountain in the world and the untimely death of his girlfriend Eve, a medic who was stationed at base camp while Garrett and the others climbed to Camp 2.

A tale of survival, leadership, love lost and never -- ever -- giving up.

No words can describe how grateful I am that Garrett came on The Jake Show.

If you're an artist or consultant, Tracey Erin Smith (founder of SOULO Festival and kickass corporate consultant) will have you at HELLO. She's is an incredible storyteller! My most favorite interview this month and the most fun I've had in 100 episodes.

She believes that we should tell our stories more often, that it would heal our past and create a more optimistic future. She’s a super powerful corporate communicator who lends her experiences (like training Walmart sales people with English as a Second Language) into one-woman shows.

Enjoy,

Jake

Super-Entrepreneur RAJ LAHOTI is the “Online Guru” and Inc’s 30 under 30 (DMV.org & UnitedStates.org) who recently checked himself into a wellness center in Arizona to detox. We talk about entrepreneurship, why we didn't speak for two years, ego and a lot of other cool stuff. We laugh a lot.

We talked right before he was set to leave the center catch a plane home to Southern California.

“I was looking to feel better by doing something even bigger than I had in my work even with all the millions of dollars earned… I realized, ‘I want to be thinner… that would make me happy.’”

Locky Brownlie is Katy Perry’s lead backup dancer. He used to dance for Taylor Swift. Cue the questions. He could "feel the beat" in his body at the age of 2, and for much of his childhood he was the only boy in dance in his small town in Australia.

He now tours the world with music superstars and Broadway shows, and recently appeared at the Superbowl.

He sat down with me in Macau while on tour with Katy to talk about Taylor, living his dream and a few other things.

Enjoy it,

Jake

George Kourounis is an extreme storm chaser and star of “Angry Planet.”

He tells the story of chasing a 12,500 foot wide tornado (2.5 miles) with swirling winds of 200 MPH, and how he lost his dear friends in the chase. George stopped by the show to talk to us about climate change and chasing extreme weather, and about his recent visit to the coldest continuously inhabited place on the planet.

His show, "Angry Planet" airs Fridays at 10PM on Pivot. Enjoy it, Jake

“You don’t understand life until you understand death. People think I’m fearless. Not true. I acknowledge the fear, and if I have fear, it means to me that I need to take action of some kind.”

Marco Borges is Beyonce’s business partner and author of The 22-Day Revolution, advocating for a plant based diet.

The Godfather of spin class in Miami (in the early 90s!), Marco's parents met in Miami, despite being born in Cuba, and Marco’s life is all about contributing to the health and wellness of others… proactively.

Great, fun and important interview, and raised my awareness a lot about what I eat.

Enjoy, Jake

Bobby Bailey is the co-founder of Invisible Children. We talk addiction, nonprofits, his brother, redemption, Invisible Children, Jason Russell, tribal history and historical rights of passage and people-owned companies.

Delighted.

“The CEOs of our generation are still operating at 395% more income than their employees. The gap is dangerous.”

Jennifer Russell's powerful conversation about polyamory, BDSM, freedom vs. devotion (Paradox of Romance), money systems, belief systems and more left me breathless more than once.

She’s helped thousands of entrepreneurs create 6, 7, and 8-figure mission driven businesses with a unique combination of business strategy and deeply transformative identity level work.

She feels she's now at the center point of getting more women in roles that require them to be decision makers. She opines on how she would've coached the leaders of Occupy Wall Street to achieve greater results.

She discusses the structure of her polyamorous relationship with Bryan Franklin for the first time. What a whirlwind interview!

“Bryan Franklin and I have a relationship where we’ve been approached hundreds of times over people admiring it and wanting to know more…”

Activist DeRay McKesson joins us live from Baltimore to discuss the arrest of six officers in the death of Freddie Gray.

Profoundly Human senior editors Emma Bracy and Mtali Banda, both who have written extensively on race, over-policing and the murders of unarmed black men fill out the panel.

We discuss how to move forward, things the public can do that are not on the ground, how a few hundred days and these arrests doesn't erase 400 years of oppression. It's an honest and real conversation among four friends who happen to also work together.
