At more than 200 episodes and 5+MM downloads, Jake Sasseville’s long-running talk show is a catalyst to the heart and mind. It features inspirational interviews with masters, heart-searching conversations with presidents of fortune 500 companies and NBA teams and highlights the common thread of what makes us all profoundly human. Widely considered as one of the most influential interviewers of his generation (and the youngest TV host in late night TV history on ABC), Jake’s style is inquisitive, humorous and heartfelt. He’s open about weight issues, watching his brother die when he was 17, failing in dozens of business ventures during his 20s, his recovery in 12 step programs — and his most recent move to Maui, the launch of his Institute and his global real estate endeavors.

In this episode of BTSZD, Jake looks at the GAP between when we desire something and why it takes time to come into our lives. That gap, he suggests, is where the magic and growth is. Minding the Gap. He talks about getting what you want in your life and how most human beings aren't looking for the shiny new thing, but rather a steady stream of beautiful things flowing through.

How does that awareness change how you live your life? Surrendering, he suggests, helps bring what you want to experience most in life into your today.

NBC Investigative Reporter Lu Ann Cahn was hired by the peacock network in 1987. She had already been in television news for almost a decade.

In this heartfelt interview with Jake, they discuss how they first met at NBC, why Lu Ann felt she had to start her life over by doing something new each day for 365 days (it's an activity that landed her a book deal, the book is called "I Dare Me") and how it reminded Lu Ann to be childlike and playful as an adult.

She talks about what many of us face: she was on a hampster wheel at work and while her gig at NBC is sexy and paying the bills, it wasn't fulfilling. Adults rely on experience rather than discovery. Jake and Lu Ann talk about surrendering as a way to start over.

A touching exchange between a woman who was one of the pioneers of television journalism and a guy who was barely out of diapers when she first started.

Susie Pearl (P2) has repped Michael Jackson and is working on the global platform for hallucinogens as healing substances with Ricki Lake, and everything in between. She is one of the rare ones - in the category of Russell Simmons and few others - who have been powerhouses in entertainment and then left it all for a calmer more meditative and reflective life behind the camera.

Susie led MTV Europe in it’s heyday. She was responsible for the MTV Music Awards, MTV Movie Awards and all related MTV-related festivals. She then built the top-3 entertainment agency in all of Europe, Kazoo PR, launching and nurturing big brands and big celebrity careers, including Sony, MTV, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Spice Girls & Victoria Beckham. She sold that agency and retired.

After her retirement, legendary hypno-scientist and NLP co-founder Dr. Richard Bandler asked Susie to run his global training program. She said yes, but not before moving out of London onto the sunny island of Ibiza, off the coast of Spain.

In this revealing two-part interview, the best-selling author of “Instructions for Happiness and Success,” discusses new age corporate management techniques, doing hallucinogens, living with her gay BFF in a forest in Ibiza, personal meltdowns and transformations, working with talk show personality Ricki Lake on exploring the frontiers for using ayahuasca to cure cancer, addiction and tumors, creating reality and death and dying process.

Susie was my mentor and has become one of my dearest friends and I think you'll find wisdom and hilarity here, as I do in our relationship.
